Ok, the problem is, my 2wd cossie seems to be runnig hot. The temp gauge reads ok but after a drive (not a hard thrash!!) when i lift the bonnet the engine is well hot. The water in the header tank is boiling and it smells like you have just been caining it for miles. Its had a new rad and hoses so maybe theres an air lock?
It maybe just me being paranoid and not wanting another massive repair bill.........
Cheers for any help and sorry for being a spaz!!

run the engine at idle with the cap off the header tank , should allow any air leaks out, also put heaters on flat out. also if you can get the front of the car as high as you can that will help too.if it still gets hot and the water keeps boiling then i would start wondering if the head gasket is giving up
asdave cos4x4, stated water being mixed that is a strong possibility. good luck mate
