Default MAP sensor location help!

I have searched on here and on Google but cant seem to find where the MAP sensor is on a MK3 Mondeo V6 2.5......Any help would be great as I have a code error of 0105 which is on Google is showing the MAP sensor, not MAF.....Never heard of a MAP sensor....Maybe why I am getting 19MPG whilst driving like a granny!

I checked data auto and it doesn't show you, what have you used to read the fault codes? it might not be 100% accurate.

Thanks for the fast reply mate.

I did this onboard check, found it on Google the other day and tried it tonight as have been wondering why I am only getting 19MPG considering I drive so slow due to physio so not in the best of health.

Here is the part number of the MAP sensor for a Mondeo V6 2.5.....

The part number you list is for a DPFE sensor (Differential Pressure Feedback EGR), which has to do with the EGR system and would give completely other code numbers.
P0105 could also mean that the Barometric pressure sensor is at fault. This sensor is usually build into the engine ecu.
I suggest reading live data with an appropriate scanner to see which value is off.

I wonder if these code readers off Ebay are any good? I know that the ones for the VW's are good and cost around Ł20.

The car runs fine, starts first time everytime and pulls very well, just cant understand 19MPG when she is being driven with such care. All 6 plugs have been changed, new air filter, oil filter, new oil, new fuel filter, throttle body cleaned, ICV cleaned and only run on 98Ron fuel.

could have an air leak, i worked on one the other week , it was down on mpg severely there was a split pipe underneath the throttle body the ecu had auto adapted the idle so it was not giving the typical characteristics of an air leak but to be fair i could here it, once i sorted the pipe and reset the ecu it relearned all its throttle settings and customer said he was now getting the mpg he was previously

Thanks mate, I will check for an air leak.

One thing that happens that I don't know if it should happen being this is my first Auto car is when I start her up she revs at around 1,600RPM then after 10 or so seconds drops to around 950rpm and stays there.....Is this normal?

These cheap code readers use the EOBD/OBD2 protocols for reading fault codes.
These protocols are required by law and are well documented, so usually they get the codes right.

Can you also read live data?
Then note all data that you get on idle, raised rpm (around 3000 rpm) and while driving around 50 mph.
Post the data here. Or get a gas analyzer test (like the one done with the MOT) and post all data here.

Have you checked for fuel leaks? Maybe the engine doesn't use all the fuel, but a part is spilled?
