Ford Focus RS fault codes ford techs pls help!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi need some techie help pls guys
We have an 2009 mk2 focus RS in the shop just been refinished to attend the shows next year no damage other than tesco/sainsburys dents.
the owner of the RS is a good friend.
The car has a slot in Ford Friday10 Oct but if I can fix it I'd be happier.
We have taken the panels bumpers, doors, and tailgate off to paint the shell nicely etc.
Bolted the panels back on now all back together and the car presented 2 issues.
1. the car won't boost, slugish and flashing red light in centre of dash.
This is since the owner drove off in the car
2. the car shows "steering malfunction" briefly then "steering locked try again".
It did this once Thursday, then twice Friday and left the car a non starter over the Weekend
(until today when I dismantled the steering lock with the auto electrician as it was blocking the whole workshop, after cycling the internals of the steering lock it currently runs still no boost & no steering lock movement.
I thought the little motor in the lock had failed)
The car has keyless go and recognises both keys, but I did not heard the steering lock motor at all.
The message says "steering locked- try again" but it was not locked and moved freely.
This stops the car from running when it shows.
The car has not been run while apart for paint, the battery has been off for 4 weeks no batt chargers applied to car while batt connected.
So I had a Auto electrician with the VCM 2 come round and we pulled these 3 fault codes below and got the Ign on to Diagnose the issue which seem to relate to the throttle pedal sensor drive by wire unit.
I bought a new throttle pedal from Ford and cleared the faults, they come straight back!
(New part number is exactly the same as original part)
Could any Ford or specialist Techs shed some light on this ?

If anyone read this it didn't know how to help out then u might be curious as to what happened.
I actually got it running through some old sch moves plus the vmc2 diagnostic and drove it to Ford.
So Ford put this down to a software fault/crash.
Basically it got stuck in a loop because of the steering lock failing and it could not recover until I manhandled the steering lock...
Ford basically rebooted/reinstalled everything on the software side and it's happy as pig in poo
RS is back to normal service!
