Default Fuel pressure problem

Hi, I've a problem with the fuel pressure under load as it's only rising up to aprox 55 Psi, I've noticed the pressure was low on idle (30 Psi) so I raised the pressure up to what it should be on idle and did I little test drive but the pressure does not come above 55 Psi.
The pump is a Bosch 044 and about 3 years old but sounds "crispy", could it be the pump or the regulator which is a Aeromotive A1000.
What's best to test and how before spending money on new parts?

100% it will be fuel regulator mate

Had issues with mine on Dyno and I know Mr Shead @ MA Developments uses them purely as a door stop

I have a spare I can take to Ford Fair I'd you are coming over.

Default aeromotive fpr

take it apart and you will find the spring broken at a guess
i bought a high powered car from somebody who had a new aero fpr fail[spring]-they sent him two springs....must be confident of their product[not]

And they don't like seating properly inside leading to low pressure and inability to increase correctly with rising boost.
