They will fit, but not without fouling the arches. You may get away with it if you have the arches rolled.

 

That's at the back or on the front or both.
I just looked at the back and they are rolled or fouling just how you name it

My mate has a standard reight height 2wd cossie. he has escort cossie alloys with 215/45/16 tyres. they rub at the back and have caused quite a groove in the tyre. So if your trying to run 225/45/17 tyres then they will definately rub. And i expect the fronts will rub too.

only cause the escort wheels are 8 inch wide.

225 tyres on a 7.5 rim will not rub on the back , especially standard height.
