Angry Immobiliser issue

Hi people I need some help I cannot get my car to start and we believe it's the factory immobiliser as the fuel pump will not run unless the immobiliser is off and I've had an auto electrician out and he agrees it's to do with the doors and how it locks and arms system we have tried several things to sort but as yet nothing seams to turn it off I can double lock it and it chirps several times when locked then double locked but not beeps or chirps to say it's off and consequently it does not turn off and does not allow fuel pump to run so it can start if anyone at all can help I'd really appreciate it

Cheers in advance and fingers crossed somebody can help me

Might help if you give some info as to what car it is and weather it's standard alarm/immob or aftermarket etc!

It's a escort cosworth large turbo it had an aftermarket alarm on it but that's been removed so we are guessing it's the standard factory ford alarm / immobilser causing the issue hope this helps

Is there a red light by the clock? When you turn ign on, light should come on solid then eventually go out. If it flashes quickly when ign is turned on then it has registered a fault.

there are a few things you can try, but, as i've said in the other thread you've posted, how do we know you are legit?

get some pics up of your motor etc and we can then be more helpful

I had a similar problem with my escos and was convinced the immobiliser was the fault but my auto electrician diagnosed it as the fusebox and fixed it.

I have uploaded pics of my car on the site as asked for as I'm a newbie the car had a sigma alarm which has been removed now the standard ford one is giving trouble if you double lock the car it chirps about 4-6 times but on unlock there is no chirp but car unlocks and also we have noticed the fuel pump does not run on ignition unless I go out of car lock and unlock it several times and eventually you here the pump engage and then it will start hence the question can I bypass or remove the standard ford alarm my auto electrician is back Saturday to try and resolve the issue as I've got the car I always wanted but it will only start when it feels like it hope now somebody can help me out

Remove the door card
Find the door lock barrel
around this thete will be the activator/deactivator ring
remove this
leave it wired up
with everything closed up, move the mechanics in the ring to see if things work or not
also check the bonnet switch is working by pressing it repeatedly
After several presses it should blip the alarm horn to show its ok

Right people does the factory alarm cut fuel pump and starter or just the starter ? My engineer is here the only way it will start is if we put a live to pump via fuse box we have had the door activator out we have had fuel pump cut off out and still no joy any info would be great !!!

The only way we can get the pump to run is to put a live fused power to fuse board and it will start without no pump and just cranks

No it's not priming at all if we put a direct feed from fuse box to pump wire bingo without the wire nothing ! We have had the activator on lock out the fuel pump cut off out but nothing seams to kick into life :-(. Does the factory alarm do the fuel pump and starter or just the starter ?

I think you need to be checking power at the ecu etc, the fact that the immobiliser led isn't working at all is your biggest clue. The immobiliser isn't deactivating properly as it sound like it isn't working or powered up at all.

it may be worth simply removing the dash to look at all the potential wires that you need to look at and test

if there are multipule ecu's and you've removed one alarm, it may be that you've chopped into another wire by mistake

was it all working and running fine before the other alarm was removed?

No it had the same problem before removal of sigma alarm it sometimes worked but was pot luck but more often than not it wouldn't start because pump was not running off ignition

I still think you are barking up the wrong tree!! I'd be looking at your power feeds / earths. As said above, it could well be the fuse box at fault.
