do i have to map car?
Alrite, I'm in the final stages of building my rally car. ( escort cosworth). I have fitted a p8 ecu which has a chip for grey injectors, water injection and antilag. It was fitted to a group n car. My engine is standard with a t34 turbo , water injection, rs500 intercooler and grey injectors. I was wondering if I need to map the car or will the ecu and lambda sensor keep the car running correctly? Cheers for any help......

It will at least need a rolling road tune to set fuel and boost up
But with that spec I would get it live mapped to get the anti lag working on your car along with the water injection
And if its running lamba and is set up for closed loop fueling then a mapp is needed at least

If its still on the exact same hardware it was mapped with then you should just need it checking. if not, it needs mapping. be aware that the Lambda only works OFF boost so adds no safety whatsoever. If you. Hose to do it properly and live map it, be careful who you listen to as very few in Europe can live map a P8 but most will tell you they can so take care.
