Hi there a friend of mine bought a non running escos and brought it to me to have a look at. Checked it over and got running by cleaning crank sensor(now new) and its smokey. It started running like a bag of bolts the next day and traced this to in tank pump not supplying enough fuel to the swirl pot under the car. Changed tank pump and now starts and runs again but very rich and smoking.
The car has been a few places so unsure what has been tampered with or adjusted since the car used to run ok.
Checked compression and only around 110 psi on all cylinders but from what ive been told its a low compression engine. Is this too low? As standard would be around 150psi.
Unsure of mods to car but has 8 injectors, t4, air injectors,2 x fuel pumps with swirl pot ect.
Im not too clued up on these and more an evo person so any recommendations who to use for set up in Scotland? Or head down south?
Cheers

would the low compression test point towards low comp pistons ??
im sure if the compression test was the same on all cylinder then that would be fine ??
sounds like it has good mods and could be belting out some good power when running right .
