2 wheel drive Saph how to set ignition timing??
As above title really have had engine rebuilt so dizzy has been removed and put back in, I had the car running a few weeks ago and all was fine stupidly I moved dizzy as I thought timing was not quite right now I am going round in circles and the car won't run at all!
I had left it alone as have been building up the rest of the car but tried to set it up tonight with no success!
I timed up pulleys so was at tdc lined the dizzy up with the cut out in line with rotor arm but still no good don't know if it is because dizzy has been out!
Is there a way to start again from scratch any suggestions welcome cheers Ben

afaik your ECU will sort the timing and you really don't need to 'set' the distributor as such. Lining the rotor arm with the mark on the distributor should be sufficient. I normally set the aux pulley mark too when timing and ensure distributor connector is fairly close to the cam pulley cover. My guess is you have another issue somewhere
