hi im building a kit car and just noticed the gearbox i have is a mk2 escort ohv 1.1 but the starter is on the driver side of box and every other one ive seen is on the passenger side cant find another gearbox on ebay the same could anyone explain why this is

 

is the box type 9, 5 speed by any chance if not i think u have a ohc gearbox yr starter dont matter what cc should be on the passenger side
