Hello to all. New here. Could someone shed some light on what is making my s2 run badly? Keeps cutting out. Sometimes will go for an hour and then die. other times not start at all. Its doing my head in now lol. Please help a man who just got back into fast fords again.

how do bud. not sure to be honest. bought it off my m8 who has no idea how to treat a car really. i know he messed with idle and the mixture screw.
It defo seems to be a fuel prob tho. it'll go for a bit n stop altogether and now most of the time it'll not go at all.

it seems as though this problem occurs when the car gets warm. Seems ok first time. but once hot a complete nightmare to start. Lots of spluttering the odd backfire and pop from exhaust and no starting. leave her an hour and it'll start but die as soon as it gets warm. Please can someone give a rough idea. Really doing my head in now. Got a tidy s2 i can't use.

try disconnecting the cold start injector which is the blue connector inbetween cylinders2+3.see if this makes any difference.

Cheers to both you guys for replying. I'll try both asap. Where is the warm up injector? Don't really know much about the cvh yet. I'll try the cold start injector asap. What does this mean if it acyually goes ok?

if it starts ok with the cold start injector disconnected this means the injector is leaking but its ok to leave it off.Mine ran like this for 3 years with no probs!
