Some times when I do the electrical checks on it, it works other days it does not, so lost the confidence in it and would like to change it out for a new better model, if there is such a thing out there, I know it might be something else that’s wrong but starting with the ICV 1st.
Cheers

I'd check the wiring right first.

An ISCV is an ISCV lol!

Be wary of the aftermarket ones, they are not a fit and forget item, they need setting up, and I found the wrong spring ratings were wrong as well.

I starting to think i should just buy a new one from Ford, and drill out the ports again for the ALS to work better.

Can you elaborate on what the actual preoblem is that your experiencing? We have plenty of ALS valves available from mild, to comedy flow, but first you need to find out whats wrong with what you have.

Stu
I'm starting to think it’s the spring that’s just lost its springiness, it looks as if it just sticks now and again, it works for a little while after I strip and clean it.
Unfortunately the cars sitting waiting on me picking a new turbo so can’t test it further.

If you’re bored and have time to look at my posting about what Turbo to buy for the car I would be very grateful.

As once its all back together your garage has the fun of live mapping it, and I guess if you have ICV in stores you can solve 2 birds with one stone.

Thanks
Scott

Sorry for hijacking this thread but this question may also help you lol,

Ive just bought a grp n escort recently,
I was wondering if the ecu actually uses the same output for iscv as it does for als?? Or is it re pinned when done??

Reason i ask is i want to know if it is possible to put the iscv back to doing its job, then fit a bosch iscv with 15mm input/ouput and just join it into boost pipe and have inlet modded with a 15mm hole to join direct into?

If that makes sense lol

Stu, also how much boost is possible when running als on a t34 with restrictor (group N car)
