Default escort d to tdi loom help??

hi this is my first post errrr i have a 1996 escort van 1.8 and have just fitted a 1998 tdi motor and gearbox in and im having a few issues with getting the ecu fitted if any one could help as my loom wont accomodate all the extra wires

is it possible to piggy back the ecu or will i have to use the loom i got out of the scrapper car i have?

i have allready had the engine run allbeit lumpy as a really lumpy thing as i have removed the pat off the pump

im wanting to keep the ecu and all sensors so i can get the full potential out of my engine as i intend on fitting a big cooler on the front and relevent fuling and boost mods

I have worked it out with a freind now and yes you can run the ecu very easly the PAT wont stop the ecu and on my loom i only had to connect a permanant live and ignition live and earth all the earth wires i removed and replaced the stop solinoid for a old 12 volt one and swaped the thermostate housing for the old one for the fan switch. Now all engine sensors work fine the only isue i have now is the waste gate sticking so slightly low on power but that will be sorted soon hope this helps anyone one else that is trying to make there tdi run on its ecu as there seems to be a distinct lack of information on the web ps mine was the 104 pin ecu

Cool fella you could of just used the donor car full loom and changed your dash for newer dash and kept the pats

That was one option i did think about but both dashes where tthe same apart from the car had ac and front foglights so i didnt see the point. Plus at the start of the swop i was told to remove the smart solinoid on the back of the pump so kinda messed me up for the pat lol when sould the turbo come in properly on the DE engine as mine seems a bit breathles at the moment? Im putting it down to the actuator but not to shure and i dont have a boost gauge to see what PSI i have also blanked the egr off too
