Default Ford Fiesta, a few small issues

Just bought a 02 1.25 fiesta for the mrs as her first car and there are a few little niggles i want sorting.

First, when on idle theres a sort of spinning whurring sound but when you press the clutch in it goes! Is that the release bearing?

Also theres a noise coming from the altenator. It works fine but could it be on its way out?

Also when on full lock it makes a noise from the pump i think, but think my mums Seat ibiza does that aswell so hopfully its nothing to worry about!

Only reason i want them doing is i just did pads and discs and found out hanbrake cable was seized which wore down the shoes, and all the shit ruined the bearing and brake cylinder!

It may well be the alternator itself, i.e. a bearing, which can be replaced.

OR it may well be the drivebelt is loose, thus could cause this issue along with the PAS noise.

You need to define what noise it is, if it's a hissing then thats perfectly normal, if it's like a "screeching" then as above.

Yes as you say, re the release bearing.

Its like a whining noise as if the bearings are shot is it just worth getting a new altenator ?

As for the release bearing is it in danger of failing anytime soon or could it be like that for a while?

It's up to you, I guess an exchange unit may be easier, re the clutch bearing yes it will let you down!
