Default 1.8 zvh or 2.0

Hello i need some help,I have just finshed my efi convesion with efi head, efi flywheel, loom, ecu etc and all was good ,i only had my front bumper to fit but after a quick rev up aloud knocking started lkie she had spun a shell so after a day of tears i striped the engine back down, head of sump of just to find it was the flywheel (A LESSON LEARNED FOR NOT USING THRED LOCK AND NEW BOLTS) Now i have already got a 2l silvertop and a decomp plate, my question is what am i better using my 1.8 with skimmed pistons or 2.0 with decomp plate, what is the better engine? and could i posibly use the decomp plate to lower the comprtion even more on the 1.8? My car has beige injectors,90 something chip, piper cam, verner, bigger turbo, ported and polished head, dont no if this would help But please i need some opinions
