Just changed broken tensioner and cambelt have reset timing with timing bin and bar on the camshafts, but no joy at all !! Petrol and spark all fine - am I missing something obvious here ??

 

Yes you will have bent valves and possibly other damage, so this will need to be sorted.

You can take the head off and have new valves lapped in etc, but tbh it may have damaged other things, i.e. pistons, head why it is easier and cheaper in most cases to replace the engine.

You may have got lucky and just bent a couple of valves, but changes are it's more.
