Default Focus Automatic Snow / Ice Mode - Anyone with an Automatic MK1 Focus?

I used to own a 1999 Focus Ghia which had a button on the panel to the left of the gear shifter which had a snow flake symbol on, and when pressed it used to make the car pull away slower, so good for use driving in snow.

I bought another focus recently which the button was missing from the gear panel, but was either missing or it was just a "blank" bit of plastic missing.

Does anyone know if all automatic focus's have this "snow mode" or only certain trim levels. My current Focus is a 2001 Zetec without Air Con.

My car certainly felt like it was driving in a snow mode, but theres no dash lights to say its active and pushing a screw driver inside the hole didn't seem to make any difference.

Anyone with an Auto Focus please let me know.
