had a pinto car and totally rewired it to a twincam
no wires were cut at all
i put the twincam loom in exactly as it came out of the donor car
i didnt connect the wires up in through the roof cloth and the wires to the fuel pump because i have a direct fuel pump
ive a sister car beside her thats running 100 percent
ive swapped the crankshaft sensor
coil
ingnition module
alarm box under dash
brain and all earths are 100 percent
ive had this problem with this engine in another car before what could this possibly be? could it be the actual crankshaft?
any suggests please
or is there any reason the wires to the roof pillars would cause the lack of spark?

found a black wire laying loose
its just below the battery tray
in the haynes manual it shows 2 black points on the ecu number 37 and 57
37 goes to central locking tailgate and 57 goes to a joint and turns to red then leads on to an engine managment relay could this be my problem?
il upload pic here because i know its nicer to look at pretty pictures lol

ok what you see here is my white cozzy rep originally a pinto
you can see a red hatchback which i bought from a man who wrecked it it wasnt going but he imagined the engine was blew up but now i have it out it seems free enough to turn and good compression
another picture shows the twincam loom complete uncut spread across the yard

in this picture you can see the picture i am talking about underneath the battery tray the loom comes out from the inside if you look closely you can see the wire laying loose towards the exhaust manifold
its a very thin wire could this be my problem? any help much appreciated
does it crank?
and you don't get a spark?
the cps can be faulty as it'uses the crank toothed wheel to work out where it is so it ocul be that the sparks are being fired wrongtime
but then it oculd be that you've wired the coil worng too

If it won't crank off the key and there's no spark either, it could be the start inhibit relay, big red one on the left row in the fusebox at the front if you are looking from the front of the car. I had this problem on mine about 3 months ago. The relay was fubar'd. Don't be fooled by the Haynes wiring diagrams, they say the relay is only fitted on auto cars but it's on all of them.

ssssooooooo happy
it was that little black wire
i searched everywhere to find where it went but couldnt see
then i stripped down the other car and hey there it was
it goes up towards the battery and slides into a clear sleeve with another wire then continues up as 1 wire up to the plug behind the battery
