Default Adjusting boost pressure to what gauge?

I am wondering if I should set my boost level to a stand alone boost gauge or MAP pressure reading. I was told by Mountune to set the boost to 27 psi for my chip. Basically right now, my SPA gauge reads 25.7 psi while my SECS Monitor reads 22.1 psi on the MAP. Should I set the boost to around 27 psi on the MAP or gauge?

Hmm...

The 2 should correspond.

Tap the boost gauge SECURELY into the same line the map sensor uses and see if the readings now correspond. If they dont, check the accuracy of the gauge and the 3bar sensor.

The management needs to see the boost.

ONE POINT TO BEAR IN MIND.
If its a 2.5 bar map sensor, it can only read up to 22 anyway

It's a 3 bar (new last year) and shows like -0.9 when the engines off, while the SPA gauge shows 0.0. They seem to be off by 2 psi or so. I called SPA about it and they said that all gauges varry, which I can believe as tire pressure gauges are always different.

Both connections are at the same spot on the manifold ( in the four tap holes)

I guess my question is with my chip and fueling per boost level.

the 3bar shouldnt be 5psi out though TBH

You may have a small wiring issue to resolve... however, if i had to trsut anything, id trust the SPA gauge and then have the AFR checked by someone with accurate equiptment.

I do have the orginal 2.5 map sensor - should i plug it in and see if I get a 0.0 reading on the SECS Monitor?

Just a thought - might show if the wiring is a problem

Might be a dumb question, but did you change the settings in the SECS monitor to tell it that a 3bar MAP sensor is being used now?

Yes, the SECS monitor is on 3 bar. Haven't had a chance to check the other map sensor yet, but will try tonight.
