black top has a better flowing head, better oil pump and block design, and yes it will work, but why 1.8 and not 2.0?

went for the 1.8 as a fiend of mine has one sitting around, first choice would have been a 2.0 but my aim is to completely strip the inside with just the drivers seat left, upgrade the suspension and brakes running the 1.8 with the twin 50 carbs. want abit of a creeper just somthing thats going to be a good laugh to take out. im abit of a rookey with it learning as i go along from what iv spoken to people about and seen on here the 1.8 looks like a more straight swap, why i went for the carbs instead of going for the turbo route.

I would have thought the 50's would be overkill for a 1.8? Surely 45's would be max and even 40's would be adequate?
