Default Error codes on Focus RS this COLD morning

Started up my Focus RS this morning, and after driving a while the check engine lamp lites up...
Engine goes into limp home mode, not willing to boost properly.
I stop and check the error codes with my bluefin

Theese two comes up :

P0115 : Eng Coolant Temp Circ Error
P0113 : Intake Air Temp Circ High Input

What do you think? Perhaps it weather related problem? It was -18c today..

Anyway, i deleted the codes, but the engine still won't go into full boost..

Suggestions??!!

it turnedotu okay later today, think somethig froze up in the cold weather... i washed the car in +4 or so the day before...

BUT, could someone elaborate on the errors, what excactly does "Eng Coolant Temp Circ Error" mean, that the engine water pump is malfunctioning, or perhaps is it the water pump for the chargecooler?

Anyone?

It means there is some problem with circut for Engine Coolant Sensor - the sensor that tells ECU if the engine has wrmed up/overheated or is it normal runing temp.

Or CLT sensor as we call it in the autronic world for instance.
this sensor is the the one that "chokes" the engine when cold, I had no starting problmens and i got my defrost system worked just fine.
Just wanted to ask as I found the phrase "Eng Coolant Temp Circ Error" a bit wierd for only a CLT sensor failure. I understood it as : engine coolant temp circulation error..." but circut is probably what circ is short for!

Works just fine now I might add!

Looking forward to taking the granada out again.. i want summer nooow!! :-P

Hi I get this limp mode but without the warning lamp, car just will not rev. It has happened tonight but onlt twice this month, had taken it to Platts in Marlow but they just appear to be in denial over it, smc in Slought got the car running much better but the occasional limp mode is still there?

The problem started within a week from delivery, SMC in slough sorted the running problem with a ecu download, have since had it remapped by Jam Sport a week ago and it has been fantastic much better that the standard map, but it did it again tonight, usually it goes away when it is started the next day?

It depends what the base map is on the car that is then re-mapped, there's two type's, AE and AF

You really need to go back to the dealer and try and find out what your base map is, may not give you an answer to the problem but it will cut down on the possibilities of what it could be

Yep I hear what you’re saying but the standard maps are just not drivable enough, SMC Slough were very good and sorted all the problems bar one that the dealer the car came from would not even attempt. I'm constructing a letter to Ford asking for an explanation why Marlow Ford is so unhelpful and clueless. Have had a custom map put on the car since and its drivability is now where it should but the limp mode has been back once seems it is nothing to do with mapping. We are now of the idea the ECU is getting to hot as soon as the car cools down the problem goes. We are going to move the ECU from between the engine radiator and cooler in the New Year via a custom bracket to a new position with cooler airflow
