Hey guys..
Anyone who can tell me how much oil i need to fill in the engine so it's the right amount. The engine is completly dry and has nerver been tried turning, it's a silvertop 1800 with a T3 turbo.
Hope someone can help

dont want to sound sarcastic but use the dipstick ?.. 5w30 oil as well
will take about 4 litres
Thanks for the answer mate... Didnt want to sound stupid, just to have an idear of how much
An eye for detail...
Thats a fair question, adding a turbo increases the size of the system which circulates oil. Though i'd image its a fairly small increase compared to say an oil cooler with decent length pipework.
I'd go for standard amount used during oil n filter change, then add about 100ml extra, crank it over a few seconds with plugs out then check dipstick before firing up. Make sure turbo is primed before firing too.

I would fill it up so the oil is about 5mm or so over the max mark on the dipstick. Then run the car for 30 secs or so then check the oil level again on the dipstick. Top up as nesessary
