Default No power??? please help!!

Hi all,

My sister is having problems with her Corsa and I know sod all about them.

It's spluttering and lacking power, no real go in it and it was ok a while back.

It's an L plate 1.4

The Head gasket has been done, new plugs, carb cleaned and mixture all set but still no power

Any ideas, she may sell it if she can't solve the problem.

Any help would be

Cheers

Matt

did it have this problem before the head gasket was done.

Sounds like a timing issue to me, maybe the cambelt has slipped a tooth ?

Yes had the trouble before, will sit and idle but every few seconds it will miss a beat, seems to struggle at low revs and has no real go in it, like it's holding back, she also said changing up gears causes problems, as the revs drop in the higher gear the car starts to chug.

Wasn't sure if it would be something electrical like an air flow sensor or fule pump restricting the fuel or air??

Whail Tale, you could be onto to something there, the air feed pipe from the air box to the front of the car is a really bad fit and has been teped before, I will re seal the area and see if it picks up.

Cheers

Will keep you posted.

Yep, cold air feeder pipe not fitted properly, fitted it nice and tight and power has returned.

Cheers people
