New to this forum so Hello to everyone.
Got a 2005 ford focus c max ghia TDCI , 95000 on clock always been serviced by ford just had major service 2 weeks ago.
When i start in the morning i have to wait about 1 min before she will rev properley. If i was to put my foot down before the minute was up blue smoke would start to come out and no power. Also before this from 3rd to 4th gear and only in 4th gear i could only get up to 2 1/2 3000 revs and she would go no more. Sometimes by letting off the power she wold come back or you just changed to 5 gear and its ok but you could not the the speed to go to 6 gear.
Took it back to ford and it was put on there fault machine and 8 faults came up. Wanted £300 just to investergate and worse case is the turbo £1500.
SO told them to stop i will pick it up.
Anyone got any clues as to whats going on?

Get the fault codes if you can.
8 faults is a lot!

 

sounds like seized turbo if it's a 1.6tdci just pull the intake pipe off onto the turbo that comes from the air box and see if its seized or lots of play in the spindle more then likely the air box is full of oil aswell

 

Its a 2.0 TDCI 2005 c max. Put a bottle diesel cleaner in and is sort of getting a bit better, this is the 2nd bottle we are on. If this helps its always been a bad starter in the COLD weather. Everything came ti light when we had that cold spell a few months ago
