XR2i steering issue
Hi guys,
just got myself a little 1992 fiesta xr2i project to work on over the summer.
Inner front tyres are severely worn, steering is stiff at slow speeds, I get a screeching noise at faster speeds when turning, and the steering wheel itself is 90 degrees to the left in order to get the wheels straight!
What are the likely things causing this?

Just jacked the car up to check and with the wheels off the ground the steering actually feels light and smooth. The wheels are very difficult to turn by hand and dont spin at all.
