Cosworth hesitating to rev above 2000rpm
It hesitates to rev above 2000rpm soon as it hits that the revs drop down
And if you hold the revs just at 1800 - 1900 rpm it misfires abit and when your driving it will just cut out not often though ? it boosts fine starts up first time not misfiring

i had a problem like this and it was the coil, try and borrow a coil to try on it
dowt it would be the plugs or crank sensor if it cuts out a random points, not sure what the phase sensor does to be honest

It has a group a coil on it at the moment, could try a standard one back on it but surely if it was the coil the car would misfire and not boost fine ?

What yours would hesitate to rev above 3000r then the revs would drop ? And it was your plugs ? It was on champion c59 plugs do I changed them but it still does it ?

Then i would start looking at the plug leads . Just wondering does it do it from cold when you start up or when the engine gets hot . I have found that plug leads and coils if there is a problem with them start to break down when they get hot its happened to me more than once so try starting up from cold give it a bit of pedal and see does it hesitate from cold i bet it doesnt

Mine was a bit like this and I wasn't really sure what to change, I cheated and fitted wasted spark and it solved the issue completely but I am now not sure what the cause was as I have basically changed everything. Couldn't see the point in buying loads of standard stuff when I wanted to go wasted spark anyway.

Well the only thing i can think of is fuel or lack of fuel pressure its a f**k when you have a problem like that cosworths are not that technical under the bonnet you might be better bringing to some one that can plug her into a computer or a rolling road as that would wreak your head look at the fuel thing first though !
best of luck

Hi dave wouldn't it do it more when it's on boost if it's fuel pressure ? well it's not misfiring so it can't be the coil otherwise it would do it all the time surely ? It's weird because the air to air injectors start making chattering noises when it's not moving ?
