Hi my dads Ford Mondeo MK3 2.0 petrol estate automatic 2003 109k on clock, yesterday decided to not pull away in "D" drive, but will pull away in 1st and 2nd, and reverse is also ok, also 2nd slipps as you accelerate, Ive checked the fluid and a nice red and topped up, my thoughts are naturally its knakkered..But cant seem to find much on this on the net with answers only the same questions, any help would be great,

Also I have searched a secondhand box on the net with a company called mondeo spares quite big, and sell for £350 deliverd 3month warranty, if thats the route I take, are they reasonably easy to change myself? ive changed engines and boxes on rear wheel drive but not front and not an automatic before. again any info would really help,
