Depends what you define by holding back, your best off taking it for a setup, not only for a piece of mind but something like that will be easily apparent.

The trouble of owning any Fast Ford or indeed any performance car is bodging, either due to owners not knowing what they are doing, or doing thing on the cheap.

Wiring problems are most common as many have had audio equipment along with various alarm systems etc being fitted over time.

The bleed valves are a bad idea imo as it can actually do less than the standard electronic boost controller can, the other danger is meddling fingers with the temptation to "tweak" them and you will have a meltdown.

There can be no substitute for a setup as not only will be running at it's best you will also know this too.

Yes not having the speed sensor will also cause problems, although I am not convinced it would cause your particular issue, sounds more fuel/ignition related to me.

hi yes i totaly agree after fun i had with my last car not going to make the same mistake again will get it looked at will check some of the wiring my self as i am a sparky any way just so i am not paying for some body else to fix simple wiring problems .

some of the earths don't look that good but it does start first time every time so thats good .
and then ive just had a new alarm for insurance robbing buggers so notthing to worry there i removed the other one my self it wasn't very good .
but there are a few suspet wires and earths that could do with being better ,the idle isn;t very good some day's its ok the another day it just cut's with no warning so this could be idle valve but could just be a bad connector as well ..

you said about fueling and ignition ive not touch plugs becuase decided if its runing and not missfiring or anthing like that i will leave them i will only get my dad moaning at me for touching them
but was thinking fue to the fact its got bigger injectors he the last owner did say he had had problems with the fuel pump and was wodner if he's gone and removed the one fitted for the bigger injectors if it ever had one for a normal pump that wouldn't help iam thinking but with me not having paper work for some things that the car has had done who now's

you was saying about bodge yes its had some of that defo like it had a block of wood wedged between the sump and alternator that was my first job sort that out

any way yes will think about takeing it for a setup and check thing out asap when funds permit thanks glyn
