Default tddi problem

Hi,

This is my first post, so I hope someone can help. Just bought a Focus TDDI t reg 1.8 Endura (118K). It runs fine over 1800 revs but low end is intermitently bad. It really will struggle to getup a hill. It seems a bit better when cold and on a run 30-40 mph. But round town, or if I have to stop and start it gets worse. I tried cleaning out the EGR valve and eventually decided to blank it off but still no change.
Any ideas would be apreciated.

welcome.
firstly i would be checking for broken /split pipes ect leaks.

then i would unbolt the cat from the manifold and see if this makes a differnce it will be loud but if it is better cat could be blocked

if this dont work then i would be checking the injectors

Thanks for the reply, I will check them out at weekend, There was so much crud in the EGR of which I could only get some out, it might follow that the Cat is blocked
