Can't see why you would want to change from a Zetec engine to a old Kent (Endura-E) engine.

Couldn't you put the bonnet vent at the back and duct it under the bonnet to the front?

if your intent on a ka motor why not use the 1.6 out of the sport?
Still om unsure why you would not just carb the engine that came in the puma?

Use the 1.4 puma zetec motor and try and convince your brother in law that the ducted bonnet is the right way to go! Then at least you will have a decent motor in it.

As said the Puma has is avaliable with the 1.4 (Zetec-SE) engine.
No it dosen't, inlet will be at the front on all the Puma's and will also be plastic.

event he sportka 1.6 is only 95~bhp , the 1.3 duratec is 70-75, the older endura engine is about 60 or less!
Put a 2.0 zetec in it.
If it has to be a 1.3/1.4 i dont see the point and i would say save your money.

To answer the question u asked, yes it will fit. The gearbox casing is the same, so that takes car of the 2 mounts on that side. You will need to use the 1.3 engine mount for the off side. Worst case will need a little nodding on the drivers engine mount.
