Glow plug light flashing is putting you in limp mode hence no power. Fault code reader is going to be your best bet to get any DTC codes and the freeze frame data.

You need a fault code reader mate. the coded you get via the dash display are basic at best and dont list a lot of the powertrain DTC codes.

As Bobster says, you'll get nowhere without the fault codes being read.

Starting issues are often linked to the cam sensor, but it's pointless changing it until you've made sure that's what's at fault. Any competent garage will have a code reader and it will take them less than 5 mins to read the codes.
