Hi all'

Ive got a 2000 focus diesel tddi and ive replaced the fuel pump, ecu and chip and i still cant get it to run ? the fuel is coming through ive check by cracking the injectors open an whe turning it over and i get fuel come out ?? if i use easy start it will fire up but not run ive even tried towing it and still joy any ideas ?

See my thread above, you could have a really clogged up EGR valve!

If you have (presumably) mechanically speaking a healthy engine and fuel delivery you're only short of air. It could be something simple like the inlet is blocked, or perhaps a large air leak.

Have you checked your pipe work?

Have you tried injectors, try a leak off test, if you can get it running using easy start, use leak off kit to see?
I dont think a clogged egr valve would stop it from running. It would run but would smoke alot and feel flat

 

My friends garage took an EGR valve off an Alfa last week as it was refusing to start, and all it needed was a clean and refit.

I'm sure it was the anti shudder valve in mine causing it to start then stall and generally play up when asked to start. Since cleaning the EGR it has been fine, but it is early days.

Worth a look as you can soon discount it if i'm wrong...

its probabyl drawing air imo,are you getting a good flow of diesel to the injectors
