Ka Brake problem
Hi everyone
Started out upgrading the front calipers to 1.6sport ka calipers as i have that engine in it now kept standard rear setup and my brake pedal was really rubbish so i replaced the m/c with a puma one and i still had a load of travel.
Just in the last few days ive replaced the peddle assembly, the bar across the bulkhead and the servo n cylinder with Sport ka items and now my pedal is too soft.
AM i right in thinking the servo is probably now too big for the car?? i had a more firmer pedal with the old servo n puma m/c
Every component on the system has been replaced now.
Thanks

You need to match the servo and master cylinder to the brake set up you are using
Bigger calipers at front will need more fluid to move them but at the rear if you are using a disc mc on a drum set up you will need to reduce the pressure or if it is the other way around you will never get enough pressure at the rears

Hi everyone.
Ive only got sport ka 1.6 calipers on the front nothing major just went from 240mm to 260mm. standard rear drums but everything is brand new.
I had a standard servo and a puma m/c on it and that made the pedal liveable but was still crap and to low. so now i put sport servo and cylinder on and its no longer MOT passable as its way to soft and goes to far down.
What should i do as ive exhausted everything as everything is new on the system. put the standard servo and m/c back in and see what this gives me?? I read alot that people are running 285mm disc setups on standard m/c and the are fine??
Cheers your help is appreicated.
