any diffirent between the 205 cosworth block and the pinto

hello is any diffirent between the 205 cosworth block and the pinto block..what power can they handle each ?what about the height ?

No, "Cosworth" blocks are merely selected Pinto blocks for there tighter bore tolerances.
By the dizzy there will be four numbers which relate to each bore, Cosworth asked for only grade 2 and 3 bores to be delivered to them i.e. 2222, (This is irrelevant anyway once/if the block is rebored) that and YBxxxxx (Unique number) cast into the front of the block above the water pump are the only differences.
YB is merely based on a Pinto.

thanks mate for the reply ...i know 200 is the best ..but also i dont want to make big power .350 370 hp.205 can use that power pinto block i mean

i have a 205 be honest done 11000 km with greys and programm and bore size 91.5 done some leagal car racing in the streets also with 1.7 boost t35 never had a problem ( i dont know if it cosworth or pinto i will check tomorrow)i will tell you after ..i think i have 330 340 hp never had a problem ..i think a good 205 block can be 360hp 380 hp standar bore low cr without problem i have seen in magasines also 380 hp 400 hp engines with cams and greys
