Hi dude,

Unless your springs are ridiculously short, you will need to undo the driveshaft bolts on the hub end.
The spring then comes out bottom first, rearwards!

Enjoy

Weeksy

Ps you should have come to me for your coilovers!!

They are a nightmare!

As said you should remove the driveshafts (Haynes way), I however undid the diff and undid the beam one side and dropped the beam down, even then I still needed a small set of spring compressors. If you do this make SURE before you undo, make sure the diff is supported with a jack, then move the jack to the beam itself and let it down after removing the two guide plate and the beam mounting bolt.

I did try and undo the shafts but my torx drives arn't brilliant and they were very tight!

You will also need to un bolt the shock on the arm.

How people say you just undo the beam mount and shock I don't know, they must be very short springs!

If you have braided brake lines you also need to disconnect these, as you just can't remove the "U-clip" and unclip then from the underbody like you can with the flexys.

if your fitting coilovers just take a angle grinder to them and cut them in half

Totally do away with the spring fella.

It typically uses a 1.9 id coil to keep it slim given the lack of space there with shallow shape to the inner wing originally only designed for a shock.

Thanks

thanks for that,it makes sense now cause i couldn't work out what the piont was having height adjustable coilovers on the rear when the springs dictated the height, its all clear now, that will be on my list of things to do,fantastic place this forum

if you don't want to undo the shaft, undo the beam mounts on one side and loosen the brake pipe and they should slide out

did it on mine easy enough

Tried this on mine, both sides, near enough cleared the pan, but then there still is no way you can get it out , due to the bump stop, even with compressors. I undid the beam mount and the diff mount, but even then I needed compressors.
