Too Low??!!
Right, In a nutshell, Just lowered my Mk1 Focus, abouuuuttttt, 130MM (ish). And, since spoken modification was done, when I accelerate, there is a rumbling feeling from the front?! Am I right in thinking that I have signed the death warrent for my driveshafts?! Or could it be something else? Any help, Would be mint!

What tyres are you running?...Actually, no matter what size tyres you're running 130mm is way too low, it's about 80mm lower than it should be.
I'm assuming that figure is for the rear...How much lower is it at the front?

Cut the springs then heated and reshaped the last coil (the cut end) to seat in its cup perfectly, its only temporary for a month till my coily's come, Then the 16" Momo Arrows are going on (In Grey), Think I'll need to stretch my tyres a little but thats ok .

I know it makes it brittle, an I also know it lowers the spring rate, but as I said, its temporary for a month, an I dont drive like Tommi Makkonen while its like it is

You guys worry too much! As stupid as you may think I am, they seat perfectly, and due to the shape of the bottom cup, even if it did snap where I heated them, they would stay in the cup. Im not looking for an arguement or trying to be smart, I'm just saying this is an educated and calculated risk

An eye for detail...
iTrader: (1)
I've welded a spring back together on a golf when it snapped. Was fine tbh, although it did have a LOT of weld, the overlap on the parts i welded back together was about 4 inches.
I'll admit i was unaware at the time that it made them brittle, but it did take FOR EVER to cool down cause i was welding at about 160amps both sides of the join in 2cm beads with similar gap between.
Nice to know it's not technically as dangerous as i thought after i'd done it lol.
