Default ECU Gurus Question

Can anyone tell me the difference between EsCos EEC-IV ECUs; ANTI and COSY

Are they dependant on build date?

Which is the most up-to-date?

Are they inter-changable?

What if anything do they do different?

Thanks

Thanks for the info sailorbob, didn't realise there was a third Ecu calibration (CARD)

Do you or have you used Moates Quarterhorse or TwEECer to read and reprogram these ecus? If so how have you found them?

Also wondering, I have a Superchip module plugged in mine, what values does this alter. I assume it is only a partial reprogram and not a complete replacement of the stock program.

Thanks again 

There's also meant to be two more, QUIK and TCA5, but I haven't seen these or their bins. I've used a QH but not on one of ST ecu's, I do know that a guy in the 'States has done so. I have no experience with the Tweecer though I understand you are/were in touch with Mike Glover about it. A Superchips module contains a copy of all of the ecu's rom. Regarding their changes, let's just say I wouldn't do things like that.

I'm trying to work out what system offers the best capabilities and since a lot of Americans use the stock ecu and reprogram it themselves, I am investigating this avenue.

Do you mind if I ask what system you used to obtain the code you supplied Mike with?

And what you'd recommend for tuning EEC-4?

Cheers

Most people do not reprogram the stock eec-iv, I only know of two people who have successfully done this due to the proprietary roms Ford use.

I'm not sure what you mean when you say 'what system you used to obtain the code'.

I'm partial to the QH but as I said, I haven't used the Tweecer.

Just wondering if you used QH or something else to read the stock code you supplied Mike with?

I'm with you now; by 'code' you mean the binary file. I used a Moates FE interface with a Moates Burn1 programmer to extract the information.
