Default Rear brake line burst/cracked???

Hi all, was trying to jack my 2003 st170 up and put it on axle stands today, but didnt chock the front wheels securely enough and the car came off the axle stand and fell onto the jack while it was still retracting.
I was doing the drivers side, and I believe something hit the fuel tank pretty hard because there is a stream of brake fluid down the side of the tank, which appears to have come from above it, so Im assuming ive cracked a brake line that runs above the tank???

Has anyone got any info on getting to these pipes to replace them, and if necessary, how to drop the petrol tank out to get to it?? Im going to have to do the donkey work myself, then take it to a garage to get the brakes properly bled through.
Any advice welcome, and thanks for reading.

Really? Im sure I heard somewhere that you need a special rig to bleed the ABS module..... Id assume the whole lines now empty....

find the leak and them crimp the pipe to stop it leaking further

but dropping the tank, if it's anything like the mondeo's will be more of a pain in the arse than actually difficult, on my estate you've got to drop the rear axle

depends, some ABS controllers have there own bleeding valves, others will need a special tool that cycles the pump to help remove the last of the air.

the ABS Controller shouldent have drained though, it would require positive pressure opposite the pump to force the fluid out and that would mean draining the brake fluid resovoiur. it the resovoiur empty? have you depressed the pedal since the pipe burst?

No, thank god!!! So Ill have to drop the tank out?? Are there any joins in the pipe back there, I cant see the pipe to check, and the fluid appeared to be leaking down off the top/side of the tank.....

i dont know the ST170 personly, but there should be 2 hard lines running to the rear of the car, that terminate in 2 load bias valve's, their cylinder's with either cables or levers attached to them, they alter the brake balance when you have no weight in the boot to stop the wheels locking up under hard braking. then there will be hard lines running to each rear wheel with a flexi line attaching to the caliper.

sounds like one of the main 2 lines if its against the shell above the tank.

if your sure its brake fluid then the tank will need to come off.

now would be the time to buy a haynes manual
