Default Where can I buy a new heater matrix for my saph

We had seriously heavy rain last night for about 4-5 hours and the drivers side footwell had a puddle I've tried finding where it came from and only thing to note is by the foot well where the tunnel runs to the front of the car below the stereo on top of the tunnel was also soaked

Check the bonnet release cable grommet, water drips down here when the grommets shagged water runs along and drops onto the pedals normally, ford in their infinite wisdom put a "water flap" from the firewall directly above this cable.

Have a look along the panel below the windscreen. I have a Saff that was parked up for a while and bits of tree and dirt had built up in there. went to wash the car and because this was full water was being directed wrongly and ended up in the drivers side footwell. awful job drying the car out too

I know the bit ur on about it's like the gully where fan motors window wiper motors and fuse box is mine was full of shit when I got the car and I cleaned all this out so I know this isn't what's causing it as all the rubber flap channels are clear Will locate this cable tomorrow and have a look would this cause the water to be on the tunnel behind the dash tho

Think I've found the problem after having 10hrs of rain today I thought I'd go check and sure enough drivers side footwell soaked under the mat so I dried the best I could on the tunnel and poured 50+ litres all over the screen scuttle all pipes ect and no water then I thought I'll start the car and put the heaters on sure enough at the back of the heater box/matrix was a pale blue dripping didn't look anywhere near enough to soak the carpet tho and I have topped the coolant up a fair few times thought maybe was due to heat :-( trouble is does this mean it's scrap and I only say this as Ive heard some cars need the whole dash out to change 1 :-(

Un plug the two water pipes that go through the bulk head to the matrix

place a small piece of copper pipe into the pipes so that you create a loop in the water system

Dont forget to put tighten the jubilee clips

Drive the car for two days and see if it still leaks water

Easy as pie
