Default Painted engines

Hello all im after making my engine bay all nice and prety on my saph cossie and was going with the blue/black idea, What paint have people used on say engine blocks, inlet manifolds, i know the turbo/exhaust will be a no go due to the heat but as anybody found sumthing thats lasted ? also can the front housing be done on the turbo if so what have you all used ?

I used a tin of Halfords "engine paint", lasted pretty nicely.

As long as you degrease the parts thoroughly and key the surface so there's something to stick to, should go well.

We use Hammerite, alloy wheel paint on the cylinder head. Lasts alright. I used Chrome in a can on a Zetec cylinder head i ported, looked the bollocks!

Last engine block I sprayed i used degreasant, acid etch primer (don't breath in - nasty stuff!) and then a couple of rattle cans of hamerite.
