Hey up all long time no speak,its been that long iv had to log on with another name forgot all the details to last time. anyway my trouble is we have a mk4 escort cab 1.6i mfi system when i bought the car it ran ish anyway did a full service and it ran spot on its now been stood for a month ive started it a few times but only for a few mins at a time come to start this morn an no fuel pump whine at all. now iv tried a live straight to the pump an it works fine, now im a bit stumped im body work and valleting by trade so do i need to get me adjustable and carboot socket set out, id realy appreciate any help or some indicaitions of what i should be doing thanks dave

 

Any wires loose in the multi plug?

 

Thanks for the reply ChrisH iv now got the fuel pump working a wire had come out off the plug the relay sits in but now i cant get the bugger to fire up it started briefly ran lumpy and then cut out no just turnsover and wont fire any ideas thanks dave

 

Tried cranking it with your foot to the floor? Sometimes when you leave them for a while this sort of thing happens, it's happened to a few Escorts i've seen.
