I now have another similar problem. The previous issue was that the car not only smoked badly but also lacked power at speeds above about 50MPH. Replacing a split boost pipe cured that and I have since driven a few thousand miles without issue. However, the car has suddenly started to smoke badly again. Far too much black smoke when accellerating from a standstill or out of a roundabout. (being a courtious sort, I look in my mirror before doing anything other than a feather touch to the pedal or else the car behind would suffer!). Unlike the previous time, the car is still responsive and I easily had over 100 on a short bit of private dual carriageway (!) when I tested yesterday. I have looked at the boost pipe and it appears to be good.

Any ideas anyone?
