Default No oil knocking

Just wondering if it is the crank knocking after the st 3was run on no oil for a time, as soon as he heard it knock he put oil in but the damage was done,

Would it of damaged anything else the car runs and sound sweet apart from the knocking lol

possibly mate, if the cranks knocking its obliviously done shells in which would have put filings in the oil which would have been pumped round the engine

could be very lucky and just need new shells or could have fucked the crank. either way its a gear box off/engine out and crank removal job. you won't know the exact damage until inspected.

really don't get why some people don't check their oil regularly, take all of 1 min to lift bonnet and check the fluids and could have saved a VERY expensive repair!

awsome, can have a play with it now
if the crank is scored it will need either a new one or a regrind.

when you put it back together dry build it first with plastigage to check all the bearing clearances

As said could well have spun some shells in the big ends, if it is knocking it won't be just the shells, the crank will need attention.
