Default Cosworth cam question

Are BD16 inlet and exhaust cams same profile?
The father in law has a Sapph running 430bhp but it's down on torque due to running 2 BD16s
He has another engine that is going in his other Sapph that is 360bhp. If he takes the BD16 exhaust cam out of the 430 engine and put that in the inlet of the 360 engine and put the standard inlet into the exhaust side of the 430?
So he would have 2 engines with BD16 inlets and standard exhaust.
Sorry if this is a really stupid question.

i think you can put the inlet in the exhaust but not the other way round.

i thought they both fitted but had to be timed up 180 degrees out, so the arrow on the cam pulley would point away rather than into the middle if that makes sense?

iirc there is a oil groove on the inlet cam, but not on the exh.

There is indeed a scroll(groove) on the inlet cam, unless really metal power a std exhaust works fine for most.

he wants to change his spec that is BD16 inlet BD16 exhaust
to BD16 inlet STD exhaust
just thought it would be a cheap option as he had it all there?

should easily be able to pick a standard exhaust cam up. sell the 16 exhaust on after.
