Default fitting an grs evo4 intercooler on my s2

hi! i've just started test-fitting my evo4-cooler on my erst, and it seems that after i've mounted the radiator with the following brackets, and the kenlowe-fan, i've been having some trouble closing the hood!

the hood wount close propertly, because it's hitting the top of the cooler, what kind of modification do i need to do to get it propertly fitted?

i've searched throu the forum and it seems that other people has had the same problem, but i can't find any good answers!

does anyone have some fitting-pictures?

will try to get some pictures taken now, will come back to you about this...

this is the problem:

and this is the result:

not very nice :/

the bonnet is also raised 20 mm on the rear, could this be a reason?

but how about cutting out the inner-plate on the bonnet? will this work? figured out this solution on the way back fram the garage...just thypical, isn't it?

Fitted my grs tonight after having some new brackets welded on to allow the cooler to sit closer to the rad at the top and drop bellow the cross member at the bottom.
There is now lots of room to close bonnet.
There must be an easyer way but i bought my cooler second hand with no brackets.
Hope this helps

i really don't want to make any changes to the intercooler, and i think i will go away with cutting out some space on the inner-side of the bonnet....

but.....does anyone else have any good ideas? or do i need to cut out in my bonnet?

olek,
If it's a recent version intercooler (you say evo4), it should be slightly shorter than earlier ones to overcome any issues with bonnet closing..
I would get in touch with Graham at GRS and ask his advice before you cut anything, because I'm sure you shouldn't need to.., I'm sure he would be very helpful.. I will point him towards this post too, see what he thinks

i think it's going to be sorted out now, will try to lower the bonnet back down on the back today...

also made some modifications to the front crossmember yesterday, so the cooler got lower down on the crossmember
