Right i want to get some cams sorted on my 1.8 Focus (MK1) looking at either piper or kent cams, anyway i know you should remap the ECU after fitting them to get the best gains, BUT do you have to remap it straight away or can you just run it with the standard ECU?
Some people tell me you dont have to map but some say you do otherwise it will run crap? i Know it will idle differently but, just need some imput from someone who knows what there talking about

It will work better than you think, due to it having a MAF, it would be better with a remap, but can certainly be used perfectly without.

Just what I wanted to hear, thanks. So will they fit on the standard pulleys? Is there anything else I need to do the job? As far as I know, all you need is the cams, hour or so to change them and get the timing set up, then done?
