would a 4.7 transx lsd be suitable for a road going mk2 rs2000

what's the engine's rev limit ?

i'd say no, that would give you a top speed of approx. 80mph. i ran a 4.4 with a 5sp box which wasn't ideal. standard ratio is 3.54 for a rs2000 mk11.

Ok , quick calculation taking some assumptions , max rev 7000 , using std box with straight through top , so at 7000 rpm , wheel rpm is going to be 7000/4.7 = 1490 wheel revs /min

Tyre rolling circumference 63.75"
distance / min @ 7000rpm = 9498.75" = 2638.5 yards =1.5 miles a minute = 90 mph

Even at 70 mph you are going to be doing 5450 rpm , ok for lane bashing , but not much good for cruising anywhere , even down to the shops

Do it all the time , I do own a 1 previous owner , my dad , Fiesta RS Turbo , that is slowly getting the stuff done I want to do , have to do it to keep it happy lmao
