Spark, clearly the input it needs to do so is ok as you have fuel thus the fuel pump is working, check the coil pack connections and check for spark at the HT leads.

unusual this system is usualy really good. the coil pack will give a good strong spark under normal circumstances. it may be the map sensor or the aformentioned "chip"

when cranking does the rev counter move , if not then could be the crank position sensor or its wiring that is the cause , had it myself .

If you are still running the blue injectors try removing the chip as it should start without chip as long as Beige injectors not fitted , if it has beige injectors then it could be a bit more involved .

Give us as much info as possible and we will try to help .

If it were CPS then the fuel pump would not run

Mine Fuel pump still primed Marty , just no rev counter , so with fuel in rail from prime but no spark the plugs get wet , and then everytime the key is reset it will re prime

Fair enough, normally CPS input is required for the pump to prime.

ecu will automatically give a five second prime pulse when you key on regardless of any tach input from the edis module. If it has spark then that proves the CPS works, the edis module is ok and the wiring on that system is ok. Does it smell of fuel from ehxaust? Does the pump continue to run when cranking? does the tach pulse minutly when cranking? does it pop or bang at all?

Oh rite thanks, every days a school day ey, I only say because I only know the Weber management which won't prime without CPS input, I don't know EEC intimately I must say.

With that info then check the CPS as said.
