Cable problem, Escort Zetec engine
I have an Escort 1.6 LX with a Zetec engine, and I have an electrical/mechanical problam, recently the cable that goes between the battery + and the back of the alternator has broken at the alternator end, it is the connecting ring that has snapped.
Problem is that I cannot for the life of me get to the nut to fit another cable, as there is a sodding great aircon pipe in the way!
I have tried to get the alternator loose but the nuts will not undo even with WD40, even tried moving the aircon pump, but that won't shift either!
Can anyone give me some constructive advice please, other than saying that I have a big problem and using the laugh smiley?
Roy.
