Angry focus fuel pump

do these fuel pumps fail regulary? the car is a 2000 w reg 1.6 zetec thanks for any help

Not regularly, but not uncommon. Had one go on my old focus, need to drop the fuel tank to replace it!

Should be able to get to it via the access cover under the rear seats?!

seen a few dragged in at work where they overload,draw too much current and blow the fuse in the battery junction box.not a major hard job to change.had one a while back drawing 70 amps lol
